This solitary island, also commonly called Fomulac Atoll, lies within the Equatorial Channel between Huvadhoo Atoll to the north and Addu Atoll to the south. What sets this unique atoll apart from other Maldives dive sites are the frequent sightings of thresher sharks, oceanic white tips and tiger sharks.
Addu is the most southern area of the Maldives Archipelago and one of the few places in the Maldives where giant manta rays can be found throughout the year. These huge gentle giants frequent cleaning stations and feast on the nutrient rich waters. Sharks, turtles and large schools of fish also call the channels and reefs of this atoll home.
